Mariage Frères

Mariage Frères exceptional tea - Maori Blue Supreme

€46.00

Mariage Frères introduces us to a unique and unusual tea from a new continent.

New Zealand has put its unexpected name on our tea map. Irrigated by the island's largest river, the Waikato (Maori for "flowing water") is known for its great ecological diversity. In the north of the territory, a small garden is dedicated to the production of this organic blend exclusively for Mariage Frères.

Dry leaves: The most beautiful young leaves are harvested one by one, then carefully worked to obtain this precious ornament with shades of jade and indigo. The nose is reminiscent of fresh bamboo sap melted into an invigorating scent of camphor wood. The heart of the leaves delivers a pastry note reminiscent of marshmallow.

Infused leaves : Emerald jade color, the leaves open on a deep register of Bourbon vetiver and rosewood, carried by a vanilla hint. The finish is predominantly floral like a tuberose.

Liquor : Absinthe green. A cottony and fresh veil like an almond milk invites itself on the palate. The finish is frank and addictive, balanced between a medlar jelly and a fig cream with nuts. The end of the world in a cup of tea.
