Red Boria 2012 - DPO Faugeres
"The Boria 2012, a wine for ageing, offers us a fine example of the unity of the schistose terroir and of a winemaker with the right know-how; it offers a perfect expression of the grape variety, a remarkably well-managed vineyard and the mastery of a perfect vinification. Superb flattering robe, shimmering, very colorful, ruby red, garnet, intense purple with a beautiful brilliance and limpidity. The tears are unctuous and velvety. The bouquet is open, complex, direct, frank, fragrant and aromatic, offering a rare harmony and balance where vinosity, generosity, finesse and subtlety merge. Floral, fruity, spicy with a fine nuance of Mediterranean herbs of garrigue. Peony, rose, dahlia, hawthorn, black cherry, Sichuan pepper, vine peach. On the palate, the approach is suave, velvety, tender. The palate lounges with harmony, voluptuousness and fullness throughout the mouth, supported by the most appetizing tannins; the finish is pulpy, tasty, savory and aromatic."
Les conseils de la maison
"This is a wine to be aged for 5 to 10 years, which can still be greatly enjoyed now, thanks to its harmony. A Faugères appellation wine to discover and to be discovered. Serve it between 16° and 18°. You will have to decant it 1 hour before consuming it. A wine of high gastronomy which will accompany leg of lamb, kid, saddle of hare, entrecote, beef fillet, fish with a meat juice based on red wine, eel, red mullet, whiting, tuna, smoked ham, smoked bacon and strong cheeses. It is also a wine of conversation to drink just for itself."
