Gewurztraminer Vendanges tardives 2010
"Serge DUBS, a great specialist of Alsatian wines, introduces us to the HUGEL family's late harvest Gewurztraminer. Like the 2009, the 2010 vintage is a temptation that is hard to resist and that can be shared with those we love: a sensation of finesse and elegance in harmony with the sweetness due to the overripe grapes. A wine that presents a perfect harmony. A bright, young, dense and concentrated, light straw yellow color with a beautiful pale gold sheen and light green reflections (young fir buds). An intense and dense visual, numerous, tight and unctuous tears. A superb open, expressive, fragrant, aromatic and fruity bouquet: rose bouquet, jasmine, reseda, acacia flower, juicy mango, citron, orange, lychee, flower honey, with a youthful lightness. On the palate, it is a spontaneous delight, a perfectly harmonious and melted wine. Tender, soft, juicy, pulpy, ample, suave and velvety."
Les conseils de la maison
"You can enjoy this beautiful bottle now or within 3 years: this 2010 wine will be excellent between 15 and 20 years of age, it will then be a little less sweet. To be served at 6° at the beginning of the tasting. A mellow wine of exceptional quality that will accompany foie gras, blue-veined cheeses, Roquefort, Stilton-cheese and desserts (especially fruit cakes or tarts, with figs, pineapple, apples, pears). Enjoy it by itself as an aperitif or at the end of a meal. With a good Havana cigar, you will be conquered."
