Chateau Peyrat Fourthon 2009
"The 2009 Château Peyrat-Fourthon is a Haut-Médoc easily comparable to certain great wines of the region, predominantly Cabernet Sauvignon (55% and 41% Merlot and 4% Petit Verdot). A dense, intense color, with a pleasant perceptible visual structure, garnet red, pigeon throat around the edge and slightly purple robe, which further underlines a touch of youth with a beautiful shine. Excellent expression of the bouquet, open, direct, elegantly aromatic, harmonious, melted and very engaging. A beautiful purity of olfactory expression, dense but refined. Red fruits, black cherries, blueberries, wild blackberries, cassis, black pepper, a hint of vanilla and well-integrated oak, leather and black truffle. On the palate, we find a harmony and a most envied balance. This wine is suave, tender, well supported by the most elegant tannins, in agreement with a structured and very tasty finish. It has the temperament and typicity of a great Bordeaux wine."
Les conseils de la maison
"Château Peyrat-Fourthon can be greatly enjoyed at present. It should be tasted within 5 years to benefit from all its qualities of harmony and typicality. Aging capacity 10 to 15 years. To drink between 16 ° and 18 °. You can decant it 1 hour before serving it. This wine goes well with red meats, leg of lamb, beef ribs, baked veal shank, roast poultry or pigeons, with gravy or red wine-based sauces. It can also accompany a noble fish in the oven."
