"The Pekoë tea bowls, designed by Lucas Frank for Revol, are inspired by the codes of Japanese tea art. Their shape evokes the rites of tea tasting. The black ceramic, emblematic of the Revol house, is left raw on the outside. Its interior glaze, playing with dark and pearly reflections, is of intense depth. The proximity of these two effects of materials brings an aesthetic pleasure as much as a sensory one, by the raw touch, the delicacy of the drinking and the velvetiness of the enamel... Refined and elegant, they have also been designed to be practical and comfortable to use."
