Pauillac - Château Haut Bages Monpelou

€33.00

Château Haut-Bages Monpelou, considered the “little brother” of Château Batailley, is one of the three original vineyards of Château Duhart-Milon. Separated and bought in 1948 by Marcel Borie, it has lived an independent life since then. His son-in-law, Emile Castéja took over as management of the operation. The vineyard is today managed by the Batailley technical team.

The wine produced is elegant and full-bodied, thanks to a particularly studied grape variety.

Tasting: Beautiful dark red color. Nose composed of small, bright black fruits (blackcurrant), vanilla, spices. Fruity, fresh, invigorating palate, supple tannins. Nice material and good length.

Pairings: Ideally enjoyed with red meats and characterful cheeses.
